English Lessons
1) Sam's Sandwich
In this lesson, we will be listening to the story of Sam's Sandwich before answering questions on it. You will need some paper and a pencil.
2) Instructions: to commit a set of instructions to memory
In this lesson, you will be hearing a recipe to make a disgusting sandwich. We will then be drawing the different parts of these instructions, ready to write them later in the week. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil.
3) Instructions: to use the conjunction 'and'
In this lesson, we will be learning about the conjunction 'and'. We will be learning how to use to it to join two simple sentences together. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil.
4) Instructions: to write a set of instructions
In this lesson, we will begin to write a set of instructions. We are going to write a list of the ingredients first and then write the first two instructions. You will need a piece of lined paper, a pencil and your map of the instructions.
5) Instructions: to continue to write a set of instructions
Today, we are finishing our writing of our disgusting sandwich recipe from yesterday. We are going to be writing the last 4 steps in our instructions before checking that we have used full stops and capital letters. You will need the work that you started yesterday and a pencil.

Maths Lessons
1) To compare lengths and heights of objects
Length and weight are ways of measuring objects. In today’s lesson we will be exploring labelling objects using the measurement vocabulary (star words).

In today’s lesson we will be exploring measuring a range of household objects using non-standard units such as our hands.

In today’s lesson we will be beginning to use and understand standard units of measure, such as 1 metre. We will look at objects that are taller than 1 metre and objects that are shorter than 1 metre.
5) To problem solve using doubling and halving
In today’s lesson we will be recapping our previous knowledge and understanding of doubling and halving.
Pick and Mix Lessons
What do we know about the weather?
In this lesson we are going to be learning about the four seasons and the weather. We are going to learn what a scientist is and how important they are. We are going to complete an observation of the weather outside of our windows and compare this to the four seasons. Lastly, we will be identifying the different weather in the four seasons. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil for this lesson.
Why is sleep important?
In today's lesson, we will be learning about the importance of sleep. We will think about how we feel when we don't get enough sleep and develop some strategies to support a restful night's sleep. The key areas that this lesson links to are personal, social and emotional development and physical development.

In this lesson we are going to learn about where Spanish is spoken in the world and we are going to learn the Spanish alphabet as well as numbers 1-5. You will need some paper and a pen or pencil for this lesson.
