I've attached some resources below to help you with today's Tudor/Elizabethan theatre research lesson:

    • An information sheet -  CLICK HERE
    • A BBC teach video about theatre during the Elizabethan times

    • A short video about the National theatre (to help you compare Elizabethan theatre to modern day theatre. I'll give you a difference for free- Modern day theatres often show recordings of their plays on the internet or television!)

    Class Reader

Before you listen to today's class reader please read this quick article on Australia's Aboriginal community. Similar to the Native American community, the Aboriginal community also suffered following the colonisation (invasion) of their land. Unfortunately, similarly to the Native American community they suffered racism and oppression of their beliefs and way of life. Our class reader is a snapshot of Australian life in the past (when life was less multicultural) so some of their opinions and practices may be very different to our own ,and Piggy Bacon is a particularly  unpleasant man so his behaviour may shock you at points.
