We use a range of approaches to ensure that all our children become confident and enthusiastic readers. One approach is through the teaching of phonics. All children in Year 1 take a Phonics Screening Test each June to check upon their standard of their phonics knowledge. The Beeches Primary School follow the governments Letters and Sounds programme.
