Maths Lessons

1) To describe the part whole relationship

In this lesson, you will explore and describe the part-whole relationship. We will look at what a whole is and various examples in real-life situations. We will then use this understanding to explore different examples of parts which make up the whole.

 

2) To recognise parts that are equal and parts that are unequal

In this lesson, you will build upon our understanding of the whole and parts of a whole. We will explore the ideas around equal and unequal parts, using drawings and practical resources to help and support us.

 

3) To recognise, identify and describe unit fractions

In this lesson, you will build on equal parts by looking at sharing amounts equally. You will name the fractions, and using your understanding of numerator, vinculum and denominator, you will write the fraction.

 

4) To find unit fractions of a given quantity

During this lesson, we will continue to focus on unit fractions by finding fractions in different contexts. We will use pictorial representations alongside multiplication and division facts to solve a range of problems.

 

 

5) To describe unit and non-unit fractions

In this lesson, we will use our knowledge and understanding of unit fractions to explore the idea of non-unit fractions. We will use images and visual resources to help us with this.

In this lesson we are going to be learning about pulse. We will clap the pulse to lots of different pieces of music from a variety of genres and also learn some songs!

 

Your country needs you!

In today's lesson, the Prime Minister has contracted COVID-19 through shaking hands during his official work. We must step up as his Deputy Prime Minister to lead the country by way of a formal public letter of guidance. The lesson works towards creating leaders - where we must think about how to provide the most relevant information in order that it influences people to act responsibly, collectively, and effectively. This guidance as a leader will help reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, thereby saving lives!

In this lesson we are going to learn about where Spanish is spoken in the world and we are going to learn the Spanish alphabet as well as numbers 1-10. You will need some paper and a pen or pencil for this lesson.
